Denver Outlaws News Release
DENVER - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced Denver Outlaws goalie Jesse Schwartzman as Week 3's Warrior Defensive Player of the Week on Monday in recognition of his performance in Denver's overtime win against the Boston Cannons this past Saturday.
Schwartzman saved 24-of-33 shots on goal (.727 save percentage) in the Outlaws' 10-9 overtime win, sealing Denver's 23rd straight regular-season victory, and his 61st career win as a goalie, making him MLL's all-time winningest goalie.
Schwartzman has a save percentage of .603 on the 2014 season and a goals allowed average of 9.64, which ranks second in the league for goalies who have played 60 minutes or more this season.
The Outlaws goalie is a two-time MLL Goalie of the Year honoree (2009, 2013) and was named MLL Defensive Player of the Week three times during the 2013 season.
The Outlaws (3-0) return to action this Saturday, May 17 at 7 p.m. MDT when they host the Rochester Rattlers (2-1). The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
