Jepsen to Make Rehab Appearance with Bees

SALT LAKE CITY (April 30, 2009) - The Los Angeles Angels announced today that right-handed pitcher Kevin Jepsen will join the Salt Lake Bees for a rehab assignment beginning tonight in Las Vegas. The club has also outrighted left-handed pitcher Daniel Davidson to Salt Lake.

Jepsen, 24, has appeared in five games of relief for the Angels this season. He appeared in 15 games for the Bees in 2008, owning a 1-3 record with a 2.35 ERA. Jepsen also joined the Angels for his first major league appearances in 2008, finishing 0-1 with a 4.32 ERA in nine games. The Anaheim, Calif. native was originally selected by the Angels in the second round of the 2002 draft.

Davidson, 28, appeared in four games for the Angels this season, including his Major League debut on April 19 at Minnesota. In three games for the Bees in 2009, he struck out four while holding batters to a .250 average. The Panama City, Fla. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 13th round of the 2003 draft.
