Jemison Notches Third Consecutive Double-Double in 137-115 Loss at Grand Rapids

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, fell to the Grand Rapids Gold, 137-115, on Tuesday night at Van Andel Arena, splitting the season series with the Denver Nuggets affiliate.

Malcolm Hill and Landers Nolley II led the Squadron (1-3) in the scoring column with 20 points apiece. This marks the second consecutive game in which Nolley II has led Birmingham in scoring.

Rookie center Trey Jemison recorded his third consecutive double-double and his seventh in the last nine contests dating back to Dec. 11 with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Jalen Crutcher was just two assists shy of his second in a row, while also scoring 18 points.

Grand Rapids (3-1) was paced by 32 points each by Jay Huff and Jalen Pickett, each of whom recorded a double-double as Huff hauled in 10 boards and Pickett dished out 10 assists.

The Squadron return home to host the Sioux Falls Skyforce Friday night at 7 p.m. for Star Wars Night featuring character appearances from the popular sci-fi franchise, a lightsaber-themed halftime show by LuminArts Entertainment and a silent auction of authentic Star Wars items benefitting the Bell Center.
