Jeff Berding to Receive Silver Hope Award from National Multiple

CINCINNATI, Ohio - FC Cincinnati President and General Manager, Jeff Berding, will be honored as the 2016 Silver Hope Award recipient by the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society this Friday, Sept. 9.

Berding will receive the award at the Cincinnati Dinner of Champions, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at The Phoenix. Berding will be joined by Sheila Becker, previously of Procter & Gamble, who will be presented the Joel Kahn Award of Courage as the two honorees will be recognized for their significant contributions to the philanthropic community.

"It is an honor to receive the Silver Hope Award," said Berding. "One of the great things about sport is its ability to unify people as we cheer for our local teams. I have been touched by MS through friends as well as participated in the Western and Southern Walk MS event. I feel honored to be recognized by the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National MS Society, an organization that unifies people to work together to stop MS."

Eddie Rauen, National MS Society, Ohio Valley Chapter President, adds, "The Silver Hope Award is the highest honor given by the National MS Society. Mr. Berding exemplifies the outstanding civic and community service this honor is intended to recognize."

The Dinner of Champions event is the premier fundraiser for the National MS Society and includes a live and silent auction that features local favorites and unique experiences. Attendees will be treated to a cocktail hour and dinner followed by the program and then the opportunity to dance with The Chuck Taylors at the event's signature after-party.
