Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, and Globe Life, are happy to announce that the team has signed forward JC Campagna to a new contract for the 2018-2019 season.
JC Campagna played in 13 games with the Americans last season and had nine points (5 goals & 4 assists). The 6-fo0t-3, 195 pound forward begins his second season of professional hockey in October. In addition to Allen last season, Campagna had stops in Adirondack, Orlando and Wheeling. He had a combined total of 13 goals and 35 points last year with three different teams.
"I'm super excited to be back in Allen," said Americans forward JC Campagna. "Coach Martinson reached out to me after the season to ask if I wanted to come back to Texas, and it was a no brainer! Last year we didn't have the finish we wanted, but I can guarantee the returning players will use that as motivation to get the Kelly Cup back to Allen this season."
Campagna, who was born in Dallas, played his junior hockey with Quebec, Moncton and Shawinigan in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He also had stops in Peterborough and Sarnia in the Ontario Hockey League. He had three seasons of collegiate hockey, with two years at St. Thomas University, and one season at the University of Prince Edward Island.
The Americans open their 10th training camp this October. Allen has qualified for the playoffs in all nine seasons of AA Hockey (Double A). The Americans home opener is on October 20th against Wichita. Call 972-912-1000 for tickets.
