KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Jan Jas' goal 23 seconds into the third period proved to be the difference as the Bloomington PrairieThunder registered a 4-3 International Hockey League triumph over the Kalamazoo Wings before 2,311 people Friday night at Wings Stadium.
The victory extended Bloomington's unbeaten streak to four and moved its record to 26-28-1-4 (57 points). The PrairieThunder returns to action Saturday with a 6:30 p.m. game at Muskegon
Goaltender Jason Wolfe stopped 37 of 40 shots to earn the victory.
Corey Rutt scored the PrairieThunder's first goal on an unassisted effort 11:52 into the game. Bill Bagron added the second goal with a a short-hander with 21 seconds remaining in the first period on an assist by Nick Goyens.
Goyens scored his second goal of the season with 28 left in the second period on a power play with the assists to Jason Lepine and Jon Booras.
