Janesville Jets News Release

In support of the Janesville Jets cancer awareness efforts, the Jets hockey players yesterday visited the Mercy Regional Cancer Center. Attached are some photos from the outing. In the first photo, the Jets players pose in front of the Mercy Regional Cancer Center along with cancer survivors, patients and staff from the Center.

The Jets will play two home games at the Janesville Ice Arena on October 28th and 29th and will wear these special commemorative pink jerseys. The event is titled "Paint the Rink Pink presented by Mercy Health System." After both games, the Jets will hold a live auction of the pink jerseys with net proceeds being donated to the Mercy Foundation with funds earmarked for the Mercy Regional Cancer Center.

Fans wearing pink to these games will receive $2 off their ticket price. Mercy Healthy System will provide pink thundersticks each night and have information tables set-up with cancer awareness literature.
