Janesville Jets Secure Playoff Berth
March 21, 2011 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Janesville Jets News Release
In only the Janesville Jets' second season, the team has clinched a playoff spot for the second consecutive year. The Jets (34-17-4) have 72 points in 55 games so far this season. The team currently is in third place out of eight in the North American Hockey League's North Division.
The Jets play the Michigan Warriors in Flint this Friday through Sunday. The final NAHL North Division standings - and the playoff position seeds - will be determined this weekend. Both the Warriors and the Motor City Metal Jackets are vying for the last playoff spot.
The top four teams (most points) in each of the four NAHL's divisions qualify for the playoffs and play a best-of-five divisional semifinals series (No. 1 vs. 4; No. 2 vs 3). The first two seeds get home ice advantage. The winners of those two series will advance to play a best-of-five divisional finals series.
