
Janesville Jets Announce Community Events, NAHL Top Prospects News

Janesville Jets News Release
The Janesville Jets announced today the organization will be hosting two major community events after upcoming home games at the Janesville Ice Arena (821 Beloit Avenue).
The first event is a "Meet the Jets" photo session and autograph signing after the Saturday, January 26th game versus the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings. Free limited edition commemorative team photo posters will be available while supplies last.
This meet and greet event, sponsored by Van Galder Bus and Hhffrrrggh Inn, will take place in the arena warming room immediately after the game. Jets players will be available for one hour. Fans are encouraged to bring their cameras to take photographs of their favorite Janesville Jets players. Additionally, the Jets team members will autograph purchased Jets jerseys, pucks, hats or other presented fan items.
Also, immediately after the Saturday, February 9th game against the Johnstown Tomahawks, the team will hold their second "Skate with the Jets" event of the season. This post-game event, sponsored by Culver's of Janesville, is also free and open to the public. Guests can bring their own skates or get free rentals from the rink staff.
Both the January 26th and February 9th games start at 7 PM with the box office opening at 5:45 PM.
TOP PROSPECTS TOURNAMENT
In North American Hockey League (NAHL) news, the league announced the number of players that will represent each team at next month's NAHL Top Prospects Tournament, which will be held from February 18 - 20, 2013, at the Troy Sports Center in Troy, Michigan.
The number of players each NAHL team can send to the tournament, in which five teams from the five different regional groups: Dakota, Frontier, Great Lakes, Midwest and Texas and a special sixth NAHL 18U Selects team, will each play three games, is based on each team's winning percentage within their group on January 14, 2013.
The Janesville Jets will send four players to the Top Prospects Tournament and they will play on the Midwest team.
Top Prospects rosters for all teams will be formally announced Tuesday, January 22nd at nahl.com and nahltopprospects.com.
