Jamestown Jammers News Release

Jammers starter Bradley Griggs got into some trouble in the top of the 3rd by walking the first 3 batters of the inning as the Stallions scored 2 runs including an RBI Single by Matt Forlow.

In the 3rd and 4th inning the Jammers had their chances to cut into the Stallions 2-0 lead by loading the bases in both innings but were unable to capitalize.

The Stallions held that early 2-0 lead until the bottom of the 7th when the Jammers Alex O'Donnell and Ben Brookover started the inning off with back to back hits. A wild pitch moved the runners to 2nd and 3rd and A Christ Conley ground out brought in a run to cut the deficit to 2-1. The Jammers weren't done as Chris Estrada had a base hit to tie the game. Connor Rule had an RBI double and Nick Bernick added another hit to put the Jammers up 4-2.

In the Top of the 9th the Stallions got the lead off runner on and into scoring position as Nick Campana had an RBI Single to cut the lead to 1 run. The Stallions were down to their final out as Connor Moroder came through with a clutch hit to tie the game up at 4-4.

Neither team threatened until the bottom of the 10th as the Jammers leadoff hitter Skyler Valentine got the inning started with a base hit. Alex O'Donnell and Ben Brookover had back to back walks to load the bases for Christ Conley. On a 2-0 count with 1 out, Conley smacked the walk off hit to win the game 5-4 in the bottom of the 10th and to give the Jammers their first win of the 2017 season.
