Jammers Open Season with a 7-1 Win

Jamestown Jammers News Release
The Jammers started off the season with a high quality win over the Oneonta Outlaws.
The Outlaws took the early lead in the top of the second, as Nick Armory led the game off with a run due to an E-3 to make it a 1-0 lead.
In the bottom of the 5th inning, the Jammers got it going as they scored 3 runs to take a 3-1 lead. Chris Rubottom (Wofford) grounded out which led to a run scored by Austin Parent (Pitt-Bradford). Following that, Josh Brammell (NC Central) was able to knock in Rane Pfeifer (Cal-State Northridge) with a single. The Jammers were able to salvage one more run this inning due to another error by the Outlaws allowing Josh Brammell to score on an errand throw.
Later on in the 7th inning, the Jammers bats ignited as they extended their lead to 7-1. After getting the bases loaded, Rane Pfeifer's bat cleared them as he sent in Alex O'Donnell (Mercyhurst), Rashad Sterwart(Winston-Salem), and Austin Parent to extend their lead to 6-1. Later on in the inning, they stretched their lead out by a Max Silverman single bringing in Rane Pfeifer.
Jammers starter Issiah Moten (Cal-State Bakersfield) started the season off giving the Jammers 4.0 innings allowing 1 unearned run on 2 hits. Ryan Boyer then came in and helped by giving 2 innings while striking out 2 while getting the win. Oneonta's starter Mark Anderson (Lafayette) went 5.0 innings allowing 3 runs on 3 hits.
The Jammers defeat the Oneonta Outlaws 7-1 in a exciting home opener game to start the season off right.
