Florence RedWolves News Release

The Florence RedWolves announce that general manager Jamie Young will be leaving the organization to pursue other career opportunities. Young has been with the team for the last 12 years.

"I have enjoyed my time with the organization and have appreciated the opportunity to work in baseball for the past 12 years. I also thank the Barth family for giving me this great opportunity." "It's time for new blood to come in and continue the growth process of the team especially in ticket sales and sponsor support." "I want to thank all those who have been involved in supporting me and this organization during my time as gm. I have made some great friends, worked with some super people, and seen some talented players and coaches come through Florence over the year, that have made this a great job to have." "It has been a fun and challenging job, and I have a great admiration for the Barth family for all they have done and continue to do to provide great baseball for the people of the Pee Dee area." Team owner, Kevin Barth, said "Jamie has done a fantastic job of growing and building the organization to the point that we are capable of hosting USA Baseball and the 2015 All Star Game. Our family is grateful for his efforts and his friendship. The next GM will have some very big shoes to fill."
