
Jamestown Jammers Open 2011 Season At Mahoning Valley

NILES, Ohio - The Jamestown Jammers will open the 2011 season tonight at Mahoning Valley at 7:05 p.m. against the Scrappers.
Josh Hodges will get the start on the mound for Jamestown. The 6-7 right-hander compiled a 3-3 record and 6.04 ERA last season with the Jammers.
It will be the third consecutive year and sixth time in seven years that the Jammers and Scrappers will meet on Opening Day. Last season, the purple and green dropped the opener, 7-5, at Diethrick Park, and the team also lost in 2009 at Eastwood Field, 6-5.
After the three-game road trip, the Jammers will return to Diethrick Park on Monday for the 2011 Home Opener against the Williamsport Crosscutters. Jamestown will be home until Sun. with a game each day at 7:05 p.m.
