Edinburg, Texas - Frank James pitched a complete game for his first win of the season and led the McAllen Thunder over the Rio Grande Valley White wings by a score of 6-2 on Sunday evening at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.

In the complete game effort for James (1-1), he allowed five hits, two runs, one that was unearned in the process while striking out one.

Right fielder Nick Mahin went 2-for-2, scored a run, and drove in three of the six runs for McAllen, which were in the first and sixth innings to propel the Thunder offense.

White wings starter Geowavy Reyes (2-2) took the loss, while lasting two-thirds of an inning, giving up five hits and four runs that were all earned.

The Thunder will hit the road for a two game mini-series against the Rio Grande Valley White wings on Monday evening at Harlingen Field with the first pitch set at 7:05 p.m.
