SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 16, 2006 - Kevin Pinkney collected 25 points and eight boards Wednesday as the Bakersfield Jam tipped off the final day of the of the 2007 NBA Development League MLK Showcase with an 102-96 overtime win over the Austin Toros at the Sioux Falls Arena.
The Jam (7-13) finish Showcase play 2-0 as they return to Rabobank Arena for a Friday showdown with the Idaho Stampede at 7:30 p.m. PT. Austin drops to 5-16 and hosts the Tulsa 66ers at 7:30 p.m. MT Friday at the Austin Convention Center.
The game looked to be sealed late in the fourth until the Toros committed three-straight turnovers and sent Bakersfield on an 11-2 run with less than three minutes to play. Tony Bobbitt, who finished with 18 points, hit a three with 37 seconds left to bring the Jam within two. Gerry McNamara stole the ball and hit two free-throws to finish with 20 points and tie the game at 92. Bobbitt missed an open three at the buzzer that could have sent the game to overtime.
"They put together a couple shots and we actually should have won it in regulation," Bakersfield Jam coach Jim Harrick said. "We played really well in overtime and knocked some shots down. In the second game of a back-to-back sometimes it's hard to really shoot the ball well."

Austin was led by guard B.J. Elder, who finished with 23 points, including 19 in the second quarter. Troy Bell contributed 19 points, while Loren Woods came off the bench with 14.
The Jam took advantage of 13 steals in the first half to maintain a slight advantage and take a 52-49 lead into halftime.
"We just had more intensity than the other team," said Pinkney, who five steals. "We knew that we could hang with them. We wanted to come out and win today, so we keyed on the intensity."
