"The bond with the coaches at Canisius was strong from the beginning. They are down to earth and people who you want to be with every day. Coach Taylor Nelson is there as an assistant coach and that's going to be a big help to have that familiarity with him. This season in Tri-City was huge for me developmental wise, especially going into next season with the experience from this year. I want to thank the St. Louis Blues AAA organization, the Janesville Jets and Coach Joe Dibble, for their help leading up to my time in Tri-City. I'd like to thank Coach Noreen, Coach Stewart, and Coach Goldberg for what they have done for me in my time with the Storm. I'd also like to thank my family, and my parents who have been my biggest supporters. Canisius will be a great place for me for my college hockey career." - Tri-City Storm goaltender Jake Barczewski
Canisius College of Buffalo, NY joined the Atlantic Hockey Conference in 1998 as a founding member and won the conference championship in 2013.
