BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 - A blockbuster trade was completed Wednesday morning with just over twenty-four hours remaining in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's final trade window.
The Montreal Juniors sent all-star netminder Jake Allen (90-08-07) to the Drummondville Voltigeurs for a pair of first round draft picks (2010 & 2011).
Allen, a second round selection of the St. Louis Blues in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and the starting goaltender for Canada's National Junior Team, compiled an 11-11 record in 23 starts with the Juniors this season. Moreover, he maintained a 2.66 goals-against-average and .912 save percentage.
