
Ãric Gélinas traded to Screaming Eagles

BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 - With less than twenty-four hours left in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League trade period, teams got busy Wednesday afternoon. The Lewiston MAINEiacs traded defensemen Ãric Gélinas (91-05-08) and Stephen Woodworth (93-01-21) along with a fifth round pick in 2010 to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles for Ian Saab (92-02-08), Zachary Evans Renaud (92-02-23) and a second round pick in 2012.
Furthermore, the Moncton Wildcats sent left-winger Pierre-Marc Lessard (89-06-15) to the P.E.I. Rocket for a fourth round pick in 2010. Lessard has played in twenty-six games so far this season, scoring eight goals and adding two assists.
Finally, the Halifax Mooseheads traded Spencer Metcalfe (90-10-26) to the Moncton Wildcats for a seventh round pick in 2011.
The trade period ends tomorrow at noon.
