
Jaffray Named ECHL Rookie of the Month

ROANOKE, VA â Roanoke Express forward Jason Jaffray was named the East Coast Hockey League's Rookie of the Month for December, marking the second consecutive month the 21-year-old won the award. It also marks the first time in ECHL history that a rookie has won the award in back-to-back months.
Jaffray finished the month with 16 totals points in 13 games. The Olds, Alberta native notched seven goals and picked up nine assists en-route to the award. His run in December included a stretch of five consecutive games with points from 12/8-12/18, during which he earned 10 of his 16 points. Overall, Jaffray is fourth in the league in scoring with 49 points (22 G, 27 A) and currently leads all rookies in scoring. The Northern Conference All-Star also picked up the monthly award in November earning 24 points in 14 games.
