ORLANDO - The Jacksonville Sharks (5-1) took down the Orlando Predators (2-6) in an orderly fashion, just as they did in Week 6. The Sharks went to The Jungle and put up an impressive 48 points and only allowed 20 points.

Quarterback Jonathan Bane made his comeback recovering a knee injury after the last meeting against the Predators. Tonight, he was 18-of-28 for 223 yards, and six touchdowns. Mike Fafaul finished what Bane started, allowing Bane to rest and avoid an injury. Fafaul was 2-of-3 for 19 yards. Doing what Jacksonville does best, the receivers were evenly targeted, as Devin Wilson had six receptions for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Durron Neal caught six passes for 54 yards and two touchdowns. Jarmon Fortson was targeted quite a bit tonight, as he brought in three receptions for 35 yards, and one touchdown. Fullback Alstevis Squirewell rushed four times for 28 yards. He also came away with one reception for nine yards and one touchdown.

The game had empty possessions for the first 10 minutes until points found the scoreboard on a Bane to Wilson 22 yard pass. The Sharks would get points on all three sides of the ball after that; Jacksonville scored two points on a deuce, safety, and another touchdown to make things 18-0 with 11:31 to go in the half. Orlando would score two touchdowns compared to the Sharks one from there on, sending the game to halftime with a 25-13 Sharks lead.

In the second half, the Sharks got the ball first, giving Jacksonville the chance to go up by 19 points. Jacksonville did just that and some more, as they controlled the entire third quarter, putting up 13 points compared to Orlando's seven. In the fourth quarter, the Sharks had a 41-20 lead. Jacksonville killed the clock and scored on a five yard Fortson catch. The game ended with a 48-20 score. The Sharks remain in first place in the NAL and haven't been defeated since our season opener against the New York Streets.

The next Jacksonville Sharks game is on Saturday, June 8 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. The Sharks will take on the Columbus Lions at 7:00 p.m. For tickets, please visit ticketmaster.com or call 904- 621-0700.
