TAMPA, Fla. - Atlanta United 2 forward Jackson Conway was named the USL Championship Player of the Week by the league office on Tuesday. The Homegrown forward netted his first professional hat trick and the 100th in the USL Championship's regular-season history, while also providing an assist for Darwin Matheus' stoppage-time goal in Atlanta's 4-1 victory over Charleston Battery on Sunday night.

Conway's trifecta marks the fourth hat trick in ATL UTD 2 history, and the first by any USL Championship player this season. He also became the 13th player to record at least three goals and one assist in a single game in the league's history.

With his squad down 1-0 to 10-men Charleston at halftime, Conway became the beneficiary of the extra space voided by Battery defender Matt Sheldon's first-half sending off. The 20-year-old out-jumped a Charleston defender to get his head on the end of a Jonantan Villal cross to the far post in the 56th minute (HIGHLIGHT). Conway nodded in another cross for a goal in the 63rd minute, this time from a Mikey Ambrose cross from the left flank (HIGHLIGHT).

Fancy footwork secured the Atlanta United striker's hat trick, as Conway took a Villal pass with his right foot before spinning to finish with his left in the 78th minute (HIGHLIGHT). In the dying minutes of the match, Conway got a touch on an Ajani Fortune cross prior to Matheus firing in the final goal of Atlanta's 4-1 win against Charleston Battery (HIGHLIGHT).

Conway received 73 percent of the poll conducted by a national panel of independent media representing every USL Championship market. This marks the first time Conway has been voted USLC Player of the Week and the fifth time that an ATL UTD 2 player has won the award.
