Jacks Sign Rookie from Pace University

Glens Falls, NY- The Adirondack Lumberjacks of the Northern League announced today the signing of rookie Joe Magri. Magri was a standout at Pace University last season.
The 6'0, 185 lbs rookie will help out in the bullpen immediately. He is expected to be dressed for tonight's game against the Berkshire Black Bears. A native of Seldon, NY, Magri's signing brings the total number of rookies on the Lumberjack's roster to 5.
To make room on the roster for Magri, the Lumberjacks released pitcher Trevor Purcell. Purcell was 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA after appearing in two games against New Jersey.
The Lumberjacks will be hosting their Second Annual Boy Scout Campout Night this Saturday, June 15. Area Boy Scouts are invited to attend the Jacks game against the Berkshire Black Bears, and set up camp on the playing field following the game.
