
Jacks fall to 1-3 on latest homestand

ODESSA, TX - In the second of two games with the Topeka RoadRunners this weekend, the Odessa Jackalopes wrapped up a four-game homestand with a 3-0 loss to Topeka Saturday night at Ector County Coliseum. With the loss, the Jacks fall to 5-8-2 on the season and with 12 points, remain alone in fifth place in the NAHL's South Division.
The Jacks were shut out for just the third time in 2011-12 on Saturday, as Odessa managed just 11 shots through the first two periods. The RoadRunners got even-strength goals from three different skaters to notch their third consecutive win. Jacks netminder Connor Hellebuyck stopped 32 of the 35 shots he faced, falling to 4-5-2 on the season.
Next up for the Jacks, it's a weekend clash in Amarillo next weekend with the first-place Bulls November 4th and 5th.
