Jacks complete in local "Sports Challenge"

(Odessa, TX) - The hockey season may be four months away, but two Jackalopes players are already going to work. On Monday, Brian Swiniarski and Josh Chase of the Central Hockey League's Odessa Jackalopes will participate in an eating contest at Fuddruckers in Midland, TX.
Chase and Swiniarski will take on local sports anchor, Krista Lander, in the eating of a one-pound hamburger. The contest is part of Lander's weekly "Sports Challenge", in which she competes against local athletes in various activities. Lander is the weekday sports anchor at the CBS affiliate in Odessa.
CBS 7 will film the contest when it takes place on Monday at 2:00 PM, and the story will air on Thursday, June 12th during the 10:00 PM newscast.
The Odessa Jackalopes will begin its 12th season in October 2008. Season tickets, mini-plans, and single game tickets are available by calling (432) 552-PUCK or visiting jackalopes.org.
