JOLIET, IL â The Joliet JackHammers return from their 10-game road trip to begin a 7-game home stand beginning Monday, July 5-11 at Silver Cross Field in Joliet's City Center. The Sioux City Explorers visit for four games and then the Lincoln Saltdogs will be in for three games. This home stand includes a bevy of promotions as well as the "Racin' the Bases" Celebrity Softball Game for charity.
The first pitch on Monday, July 5 is 7:05 pm. Western Union presents "Cinco de Julio," a Mexican celebration. This is similar to "Cinco de Mayo," but in July. Latino music and promotions will enhance the festivities. Monday is a Pepsi Kids Club Night and club members can redeem their ticket vouchers for Monday games only. Monday is also a McDonald's Monday, and that 2-for-1 Reserved or General Admission tickets can be purchased at the Silver Cross Field ticket office when you present a McDonald's receipt.
The first pitch on Tuesday, July 6 is 7:05 pm. The first 1,000 fans will receive a pennant courtesy of The Chicago Tribune. Tuesday is also a Herald News Jammer's Book Buddies Reading Program night, and children who achieved their reading goal can redeem their ticket voucher for this game. Kids can run the bases after the game. Fans are encouraged to redeem their voucher in advance of Tuesday's game.
The first pitch on Wednesday, July 7 is 7:05 pm. Rand's Hallmark and Star 96.7 FM present Christmas in July, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a Jammer Christmas Tree ornament. The Christmas theme will be evident throughout the game. This game also features a First Midwest Bank Community Night for Morris, Illinois. When box seats ($9/ticket) are purchased at a First Midwest Bank branch in Morris, two dollars of every ticket purchased will go back to the community of Morris.
Thursday, July 8 is the special day/night doubleheader featuring the JackHammers game at 1:05 pm. At every Thursday JackHammers home game, the first 500 fans who purchase a $1.50 draft from the Heroes & Legends Thirst Quenching Thursday concession stand (first base side) will receive a free Heroes & Legends mug. The mug can be taken back to Heroes & Legends after the game for purchase of $1 bottles. The Racin' the Bases Charity Celebrity Softball Game featuring NASCAR drivers and media celebrities will begin at 6 pm. The first pitch on an All-American Friday, July 9 is 7:05 pm. Following this first game of the series versus the Saltdogs, there will be a fireworks display courtesy of Aramark and Star 96.7 FM. The JackHammers players and coaches will be wearing red, white and blue jerseys that will be auctioned for charity at the end of the final Friday home game.
The first pitch on Saturday, July 10 is 7:05 pm. The Ladies Home & Journal "Let's Play Ball Tour" will visit Silver Cross Field. There will be a variety of contests in pre-game festivities outside the ballpark beginning at 5 pm. Anna Jack, the hula hoop woman from The Late Show w/David Letterman, will entertain throughout the game.
The first pitch on Sunday, July 11 is 7:05 pm. The first 1,000 fans will receive a JackHammers baseball card set courtesy of The Herald News. Sunday is Bill Jacobs of Joliet Family Day featuring a package that include 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 souvenir cup Pepsi, 2 coupons for the Speed Pitch or Bounce House and one official game program. The package price is based on the type of ticket: $46 (Box), $38 (Reserved) and $30 (General Admission). All JackHammers will be available after the game for an autograph session on the field.
The main gates open an hour before game time, and an hour and 15 minutes before game time at the South gate for season ticket holders. Game dates, times and promotions are subject to change.
