JOLIET, IL-The Joliet JackHammers season-opening game against the Schaumburg Flyers has been rained out due to wet field conditions at Silver Cross Field. The game will be made up on Monday, June 8 at Silver Cross Field at 7:05 p.m. The date was originally open with a scheduled off-day for both clubs on the Northern League schedule.
Fans holding a ticket for tonight's game may exchange their tickets at the Silver Cross Field Box Office for the same ticket or the best available ticket to any remaining regular season home game this season, subject to availability.
The JackHammers will host Opening Night Fireworks after their game against the Flyers on Saturday, May 16 at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans through the gates on Saturday (7:05 p.m.) and Sunday (5:05 p.m. start) will receive a FREE 2009 JackHammers magnet schedule sponsored by JULIE, Inc. After Sunday's game, the JackHammers will sign autographs on the field.
