The Jackals open February in Manchester for the first two of six consecutive games on the road. Saturday and Sunday's matchups mark the sixth and seventh of 11 meetings this season, and the second and third of five at Verizon Wireless Arena. The Jackals have won the only previous meeting in Manchester, on November 18th with a 2-1 victory. Niklas Lundstrom made 46 saves in his Jackals debut as Spiro Goulakos and former Jackal Scott Jacklin provided the offense on Education Day. However, the Monarchs have a one-game advantage in the season series after a weekend sweep in Elmira on January 8-9. Doug Carr stifled the Jackals offensive effort making 77 saves on 79 shots faced, which raised his total to 113 saves on 116 shots over the last three games between Elmira and Manchester. His only blemish was on December 11th when Kevin Clare beat him with a highlight reel shootout move to lead the Jackals past the Monarchs 2-1. C.J. Motte stopped 44 of 45 shots faced and all three in the shootout to earn the win.
