Elmira, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the United Hockey League, announced today their 2004 Training Camp schedule for the upcoming UHL season.
The Jackals will begin training camp with the annual Booster Club golf tournament at the Elmira Country Club Friday October 1st. The team will hold fitness testing on Saturday, October 2nd at 11:30 am at Club Nautilus, the team's official workout facility; Fitness tests are open to the Members of the Media only. On-Ice sessions begin Sunday, October 3rd at the First Arena's Main Rink. From October 3rd-October 6th the team will be holding double practice sessions, at 10 am and 4 pm, all 12 practices are open to the general public. The Jackals preseason consists of two exhibition games with the Adirondack Frostbite; at Adirondack Friday October 8th at 7 pm in Glens Falls, and home versus the Frostbite Sunday October 10th at 5 pm at the First Arena. Tickets to Sunday's exhibition game are $5 each, included for all Season Ticket holders.
Training Camp Media Interview Policies - Head Coach Todd Brost, Assistant Coach Pat Regan and all players attending camp will be available to the media before the first session of the day and after the final practice. Between double sessions all of the above listed parties will not be available for interviews. On single practice days, the media is allowed to talk to players after the 10 am session.
The Jackals begin the 2004-05 regular season on Friday October 15th at home versus the defending Tarry Cup (awarded for the best team record in the regular season) winners the Fort Wayne Komets.
