
Nine players sign Outlaws contracts

(Kansas City, MO --- September 28, 2004) â The Kansas City Outlaws have signed their first ever players, as nine new Kansas City residents gear up for Outlaws Training Camp beginning Monday, October 4 through Saturday, October 9 at Ice Sports in Shawnee, KS. Highlighting the nine players is Goalie Maxime Gingras, who was acquired in a trade from the Richmond RiverDogs.

"We are beginning to create a foundation of players to position ourselves toward success in our inaugural season in 2004-2005," said Joe Bucchino, General Manager of the Kansas City Outlaws. "I encourage all of Kansas City to attend our training camp next week in Shawnee, KS, to get a taste of the future for professional hockey in Kansas City."
Kansas City Outlaws opening weekend is Friday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Kemper Arena against the Missouri River Otters. Season tickets ranging from $10 to $13.50 per game are on sale now at (816) 513-4400 and for group information call 816-513-4031. Single game tickets at $10, $15, and $18 are ON SALE NOW at the Kemper Arena Box Office, www.ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or charge by phone at 816-931-3300. Tickets increase by $2 on day of game.
The Kansas City Outlaws (www.kansascityoutlaws.com) officially joined the United Hockey League in July of 2004. Owner Stephen Franke of Chillicothe, MO brought the professional minor league expansion franchise to Kansas City, MO. The Kansas City Outlaws new home is Global Spectrum-managed Kemper Arena of the American Royal Complex.
