Jackals, Russell Part Ways

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today the team and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Jamie Russell have agreed to part ways .
"The organization thanks Jamie Russell for all of his contributions both on and off the ice to the Jackals and the city of Elmira," said Cook. "We certainly wish him and his family the best in their future endeavors."
Russell was named the Jackals Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations on June 27, 2014 and guided the Jackals for two seasons. Russell was the 11th Head Coach in Jackals' history. During his time in Elmira, Russell compiled a record of 69-63-12.
"I wish the Jackals organization all the best moving forward," said Russell. "I enjoyed my time and very much appreciated the great fans."
The Jackals' coaching search for Russell's replacement is already underway.
