Little Falls, NJ - The New Jersey Jackals lost their second straight game to the Albany-Colonie Diamond Dogs, 15-2, Saturday night at Yogi Berra Stadium. This is the first time this season the Jackals have lost back to back games at home and it is only their 9th loss at Yogi Berra Stadium.
Albany jumped out to an early lead, scoring in each of the first three innings. Dan Singletary blasted his third homerun of the season, a two run shot in the first inning and Vic Davila hit a big three run homerun in the third to increase his league leading total to 19 and give the Diamond Dogs a 6-0 lead.
Albany blew the game wide open with six runs in the 5th inning to take a 12-0 lead, the big blow being Miguel Vilorio's 3 RBI triple, his second three base hit of the game.
Joel Bennett (12-2) lost his second game of the year after winning eleven straight decisions. His last loss was on May 29th. Offensively for the Jackals, Billy Brown went 3-5 with an RBI and Craig Conway finished the game 3-5 with an RBI and a run scored.
