New Jersey Jackals News Release

Despite mild rain throughout the night, the Jackals ended their four game losing streak by toppling the Grays 13-9, which put an end to the Grays four game winning streak. A crowd of 2,618 saw Jackals catcher Sandy Madera open the first inning with a two run homerun. The Jackals continued to hammer out hits as they took a 8-0 lead into the fifth inning. However, the Grays responded with six unanswered and closed the gap to two.

After finally ending the Grays scoring run in the top of the eighth, the Jackals put up five in the bottom of the eighth with the help of John Lindsey ‚¬â„¢s two-run homerun and Chris Rowan ‚¬â„¢s triple. The Grays continued their battle and put up three in the ninth; however, it was not enough, as New Jersey ended up on top 13-9.

These two teams will face each other tomorrow - gates open at 5:30 and first pitch is scheduled for 7:10. Saturday night is Commerce Bank Fireworks night and J&J Snack Foods rally towel giveaway. Seats are sold out; however, lawn seats are still available.
