Elmira Jackals News Release

Elmira, NY - The Elmira Jackals announced today that they will be auctioning off both their game-worn Home Jerseys and their pre-game-worn MetLife Warm-Up Jerseys Friday night at the First Arena.

During Friday night's final home game of the 2005-06 UHL regular season, as the Jackals host the Adirondack Frostbite at 7:05 pm, the team will be auctioning off the MetLife Warm-Up Jerseys in a Silent Auction. The jerseys will be on display in the concourse, with a starting bid of $150 for each pre-game-worn sweater. The Silent Auction will run from the beginning of the 1st Intermission until the final horn of the game.

Thanks to the collaboration of MetLife Managing Director Marshall L. Rosen and the Elmira Jackals Youth Hockey Association (EJYHA) President Mike Sincock, 100% of the proceeds for the MetLife Jersey Silent Auction will be donated to the EJYHA. The team will announce the winners of each MetLife jersey at the conclusion of the game.

At the end of the game the Jackals will also be auctioning off their own 2005-2006 Game-Worn Home White Jerseys in a live-auction style event. Each player on the current Jackals roster will wear his game jersey onto the ice as Public Address Announcer, and Jackals official Auctioneer, Mike Strobel will lead this exciting event. At this time there are no plans for an online jersey auction, so all jerseys will be up for grabs. Winning bidders will be able to purchase their jersey and get it personally autographed all in one fun-filled evening at the First Arena.

The Jackals will face Adirondack on Friday, April 14th for their final home game of the 2005-06 season at 7:05 pm. Elmira's final game of the year will take place on the road against the Frostbite at the Glens Falls Civic Center, Saturday April 15th at 7:35 pm.
