ALLEN, Texas- The Odessa Jackalopes defeated the Allen Americans by a score of 5-2 Sunday night in front of 4,002 fans at the Allen Event Center.

As in Game One, Odessa was able to jump out to a lead on the Americans, never looking back, on it's way to a 2-0 series lead.

After the Americans dominated the first half of the first period of play, Kip Brennan was assessed a five-minute major for boarding. On the ensuing power play, the Jacklopes would score twice to give themselves a 2-0 lead.

Scoring first for Odessa was Todd Robinson, who just threw a puck on net from behind the goal line which deflected in off of Americans' goaltender Chris Whitley. Just 16-seconds later, Odessa extended it's lead on a deflection in front of the net by Sebastien Thinel.

Patrick Mbaraga put the Jacks up 3-0 midway through the second frame, banging home a Robinson pass in front of the net.

Jarrett Lukin finally got the Americans on the board at 6:48 of the Second Period, firing a rebound past Jackalopes Netminder Joel Martin.

Early in the third period, Odessa put the game out of reach with goals by Matt Gens and Jeff Pierce less than three-minutes into the final stanza.

Tobias Whelan scored a rebound goal at 12:13 of the period, drawing Allen to within 5-2, but that would be as close as the Americans would come. With Odessa's 5-2 win, they now move to within a game of winning the Berry Conference Semi-Finals.

The Americans will now head to Odessa for Game Three on Tuesday night at the Ector County Coliseum. The game is scheduled for 7:05. Fans are encouraged to visit Boston's The Gourmet Pizza for the Official Away Game Watching Party.

If necessary, Game Four will be played Thursday night in Odessa, while Game Five would be Friday night in Allen. For ticket information regarding Game Five, please visit www.allenamericans.com, or call 972-912-1000.
