Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Stampeders return to action after a Week 15 bye as they play host to the Montreal Alouettes in a Saturday matinee at McMahon Stadium. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
Prior to the bye, the Stampeders (4-9) split their home-and-home series with the Edmonton Elks as they won 35-31 at home on Labour Day and lost the rematch 25-23 on the road. The Alouettes (6-7) have lost four games in a row including a pair of setbacks to the Toronto Argonauts in their two most recent outings. Montreal lost 39-10 in Toronto in Week 14 and 23-20 at home in Week 15.
Calgary enters Week 16 trailing Saskatchewan by four points for third place in the West Division standings while the Alouettes are tied with Hamilton for second place in the East.
This is the second meeting of the season between Calgary and the Alouettes as the Stampeders dropped a 25-18 decision at Montreal's Percival Molson Stadium on July 30. The Alouettes' most recent visit to McMahon was the 2022 season-opener, a 30-27 Calgary victory.
The Stamps are 2-4 at home so far this season and 2-3 against the East Division. Montreal is 3-2 on the road and 2-4 against West Division clubs.
