November 21, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Sacramento Heatwave News Release
Sacramento, CA. In a press conference held at the City Hall courtyard by Sacramento Mayor Heather Fargo, the news that the Fresno Heatwave moving to Sacramento was made official on Monday.
According to Heatwave owner Reggie Davis, "We are extremely pleased at the reception we've received from the city and are very excited about the move. We believe the fans will appreciate the excitement and fun of ABA basketball and know that they will enjoy the very affordable ticket prices. And we are especially appreciative of the efforts of Mayor Fargo. Without her support, this would not have been possible. We are deeply indebted to her."
Opening night is expected to be December 3rd when the powerful Maywood Buzz will be the opponent. For more information, visit www.sacramentoheatwave.com or email jigejag7@yahoo.com or visit www.abalive.com.
