Chicago Steel News Release

Chicago Steel to host 1st Annual Wiener Dog Races as 18 dachshunds are currently registered to go for gold in the event which has become a popular family friendly (and dog friendly) United States Hockey League tradition. The intermission race will feature the wiener dogs competing for prizes provided by Woofbeach, including a free grooming, free training evaluation and free sweatshirt to the first-place finisher. Fans registering their dogs were asked to make a donation to Rescue Warriors Corp., an Elgin-based nonprofit that saves abandoned animals from being euthanized. Saturday's game also features fun promotions like a hot dog eating contest and a human dog barking contest.

Boone, Halley, and Monty, each one year of age, are ready to go paw-to-paw for the gold. To meet all the "players" visit the Chicago Steel Hockey's Facebook Event page.
