Charlottetown goaltender Aksels Ozols grabbed First Star honors with 33 saves backstopping the Islanders over the Wildcats 7-2 before 3,200 fans at Eastlink Centre on Sunday afternoon to split the weekend home and home series. The Cats won Saturday night 4-3 in overtime at the Avenir Centre.
The Isles directed 29 shots at Keegan Warren. Cats goals on Sunday to Caleb Desnoyers (16th) and Vincent Collard (26th). The Moncton lineup was without Yoan Loshing (suspension) along with Oscar Plandowski, Thomas Auger and Sebastian Glas due to injuries.

The Wildcats return to home ice this week with two big games - the 1st-place Baie-Comeau Drakkar Thursday night at 7pm followed by Maritime rival Cape Breton Eagles Saturday at 7pm at Avenir Centre.
