
Islanders, Flyers set to return to GIANT Center October 2

HERSHEY â The HERSHEY BEARS announced today that the NHL will return to central Pennsylvania for the second consecutive season as the New York Islanders play host to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, October 2 at GIANT Center. Face-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
The NHL's best and brightest are scheduled to bring their individual and collective talents to HERSHEY for a late season exhibition tilt. Last season, the two teams met in HERSHEY with the Islanders defeating Philadelphia 4-2. Alexei Yashin and Jeremy Roenick were among last year's players that were featured in the preseason contest that saw the Flyers outshoot New York 40-22.
Tickets for the game go on sale Monday August 16 at the GIANT Center box office or by calling (717) 534-3911. Club seats for the game are $45, while any other seat on the 100 level are $35. Seats in the 200 level for the game are just $25. All BEARS season ticket holders will receive a 10 percent discount off window pricing for their current seat locations. Beginning Monday, BEARS season ticket holders will also have the ability to reserve additional seats for the NHL exhibition game. All season ticket holders must call to reserve their seats prior to September 15. Group rates are also available for the Flyers/Islanders game by calling (717) 508-BEAR.
The BEARS open up the home portion of the 2004-05 season at GIANT Center on Saturday, October 16 against the Norfolk Admirals. HERSHEY'S lone home exhibition game will take place on Sunday, October 3 against the Binghamton Senators at GIANT Center, with face-off slated for 5:00 p.m. Season ticket plans are available by calling the HERSHEY BEARS ticket office at (717) 508-BEAR.
