
IronPigs Open with Unforgettable Homestand

(Allentown, Pa.) - The highly-anticipated 2011 Lehigh Valley IronPigs season at Coca-Cola Park officially gets underway on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. with the first-ever Coca-Cola Park Stadium Replica presented by Service Electric Cable TV & Communications. Other exciting highlights of the initial six-game home slate include Friday Night Fireworks, the return of the World Famous Phillie Phanatic, a premium Pork Racer Fleece Blanket giveaway, Dollar Dog Night featuring the chance to win $100 with each hot dog purchase and the introduction of the IronPigs' brand-new house band, Shake, Rattle & Pork Roll.
Tickets for all upcoming IronPigs games can be purchased in-person at Coca-Cola Park, by calling (610) 841-PIGS or online at ironpigsbaseball.com. Despite leading all of Minor League Baseball in average attendance in 2010 with 9,227 fans per game, prices for single-game tickets remain identical for the fourth consecutive season and start as low as $6 for General Admission, granting fans access to the Capital BlueCross Lawn seating area and standing room only areas. Field Level reserved seats are just $9.
The IronPigs get the 2011 regular season underway against their Northern Division rivals, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday. The first 3,000 fans will receive the ultimate collectable - a Coca-Cola Park Stadium Replica presented by Service Electric Cable TV & Communications.
There are a number of other Opening Night festivities planned, including:
* The debut of "Meet the IronPigs Week" featuring an autograph session on the main concourse behind home plate with two IronPigs players (TBD) and the IronPigs loveable Pork Racer, Hambone. "Meet the IronPigs Week", featuring autograph opportunities with different IronPigs players and mascots, will continue throughout each of the first five home games of the 2011 season.
* The debut of the IronPigs' brand-new house band, Shake, Rattle & Pork Roll outside the AT&T Plaza beginning at 5:30 p.m.
* The chance to win a free hot air balloon ride from Sights Unseen Ballooning. A hot air balloon courtesy of Sights Unseen Ballooning will be tethered outside Coca-Cola Park during the Opening Night festivities.
* Heroes Night will allow fans the opportunity to honor the local police, firefighters, EMS personnel, and military members who serve and protect the Lehigh Valley and the entire nation, in a pre-game on-field ceremony.
Each and every Thursday night is also Ladies Night presented by Mezza Luna with the chance to enter and win nightly prizes from various Ladies Night partners.
The Main Gates open at 5:45 p.m. with special events in the AT&T Plaza and throughout the ballpark. The on-field pageantry will include formal introductions of both the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in a special pre-game ceremony.
Friday's 7:05 p.m. game against the Yankees marks the return of post-game Friday Night Fireworks presented by Lehigh Valley Center for Sight at Coca-Cola Park. Stick around following every Friday home game for spectacular fireworks displays unrivaled in Eastern Pennsylvania. Of note, Friday's pre-game National Anthem audition will be sung by American Idol finalist and Lehigh Valley native Tyler Grady.
The excitement intensifies on Saturday as the IronPigs welcome the Syracuse Chiefs to Coca-Cola Park for the first of a four-game set at 6:35 p.m. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a 2011 Magnet Schedule courtesy of East Stroudsburg University. Also, fans definitely won't want to miss the first appearance of the season by the World Famous Phillie Phanatic presented by Susan Bella Jewelry.
The AT&T Plaza gate will open early on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. for the first, hour-long Saturday Night Happy Hour Concert Series of the season. Come hungry and thirsty and enjoy $1 hot dogs (from vendors only) and $3 Bud and Bud Light Drafts while listening to live music from Shake, Rattle & Pork Roll and watching batting practice from the AT&T Plaza.
All Saturday home games at Coca-Cola Park have a 6:35 p.m. start time and Club Gates will open for Club Level patrons beginning at 5 p.m.
Dog Day at the Park featuring a Pork Racer Fleece Blanket giveaway presented by Nestle Purina PetCare Mighty Dog headlines Sunday's 1:35 p.m. game. The first 2,000 youngsters 17 and under (and one per dog) will receive the keepsake. Fans can purchase tickets for their four-legged companions for just $1 with 100% of the proceeds benefiting The Animal Food Bank.
Fans that are planning on bringing their canine must purchase a General Admission ticket and will only have access to the Capital BlueCross Lawn seating area. We ask that those with four paws also adhere to the following guidelines:
* All potty breaks must be cleaned up by your owner.
* Please mind your manners. Out of control dogs may be asked to leave Coca-Cola Park.
* Cheering for the IronPigs is allowed, but barking should be kept at a minimum.
* You must be kept on a leash by your owner.
Immediately following Sunday's game, all children 12 and under can show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.
The IronPigs and Chiefs continue their four-game set on Monday at 7:05 p.m. with one of the most popular promotions of the season -- Dollar Dog Night presented by Rothrock Motors. With each and every hot dog purchased, fans have the opportunity to win $100! Monday's festivities also include Karate Night with pre-game on-field performances by various Martial Arts groups.
The IronPigs-Chiefs four-game series concludes on Tuesday, April 12 at 10:35 a.m. with the first of three Education Days at Coca-Cola Park. At every Tuesday home game fans can play TD Bank Ballpark Bingo for a chance to win a $25 Visa Check Card and a team autographed baseball.
With the exception of Saturday home games, the Main Gates open 75 minutes prior to game time while the Club Level gates open 90 minutes before scheduled first pitch time.
Fans are reminded that there are three entry points for parking and are encouraged to use the Dauphin Street entrance when traveling from downtown Allentown. In addition to the Dauphin Street entrance, entry to Coca-Cola Park can be gained off American Parkway and Union Boulevard. Preferred/Handicapped Parking access is available via American Parkway only.
The cost of parking in Coca-Cola Park's brand-new "Pig Tail Porking Spaces" is $3 per vehicle for all IronPigs home games.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are dedicated to providing family-friendly entertainment and are the only Minor League team to offer bubbles to fans entering the AT&T Plaza and balloons for all children exiting Coca-Cola Park.
