IronPigs Kick off Rivalry Weekend Thursday

(Allentown, Pa.) - The All-Star season reaches a fever pitch as the IronPigs return home to open a four-game series against their adversaries, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees, on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. from Coca-Cola Park. Rivalry weekend is loaded with superlatives including an IronPigs Flip Flop giveaway, another Friday Night Fireworks display, an appearance by Reggy "The Purple Party Dude" and an opportunity to play catch on the field following the series finale on Father's Day.

Tickets for all upcoming IronPigs home games are still available and can be purchased in-person at Coca-Cola Park, by calling (610) 841-PIGS or online at ironpigsbaseball.com. Prices for single-game tickets remain identical for the third consecutive season and start as low as $6 for General Admission, granting fans access to the Capital BlueCross Lawn seating area and standing room only areas. Field Level reserved seats are just $9.

This greatly-anticipated match-up between the IronPigs and Yankees gets underway on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. and the first 2,000 youngsters 12 and under will receive a pair of premium IronPigs Flip Flops presented by Air Products. Prior to every Thursday home game fans can take advantage of a Pig Roast in the AT&T Plaza courtesy of Royal Gourmet Foods. Thursday's in-park festivities also include pre-game live entertainment from the SteelCreek Country Band.

Post-game Friday Night Fireworks presented by Coordinated Health highlights Friday's 7:05 p.m. tilt between the rival squads. Be sure to stick around following every Friday home game for the best fireworks display in Eastern Pennsylvania. Also, Fly-Away-Friday presented by the Lehigh Valley International Airport will award a lucky fan a trip for two.

The action intensifies Saturday for game three of the four-game set at 6:35 p.m. as Reggy "the Purple Party Dude" takes center stage at Coca-Cola Park with his wild and wacky on-field antics. No one, including opposing players and umpires, are safe from Reggy's tricks!

Saturday is also a Pre-Game Happy Hour and Concert Series featuring $1 hot dogs, $3 Bud and Bud Lights and live entertainment from the Fuzzy Bunny Slippers. The AT&T Plaza Gates will open early at 4:30 p.m. for fans to enjoy the food and drink specials (until 5:30 p.m.), live music and batting practice.

Bring Dad to Coca-Cola Park for Sunday's series finale at 1:35 p.m. to celebrate Father's Day and enjoy a post-game opportunity to play catch on the field presented by Capital BlueCross. Before playing catch with dad, kids 12 and under can show off their speed with the ever-popular Kids Run the Bases presented by the Lehigh Valley Health Network.

With the exception of Saturday home games, the Main Gates open 75 minutes prior to game time while the Club Level gates open 90 minutes before scheduled first pitch time.

Fans are reminded that there are three entry points for parking and are encouraged to use the Dauphin Street entrance when traveling from downtown Allentown. In addition to the Dauphin Street entrance, entry to Coca-Cola Park can be gained off American Parkway and Union Boulevard. Preferred/Handicapped Parking access is available via American Parkway only.

The cost of parking for all IronPigs home games is $3 per vehicle.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are dedicated to providing family-friendly entertainment and are the only Minor League team to offer bubbles to fans entering the AT&T Plaza and balloons for all children exiting Coca-Cola Park.
