Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

Down to their final five games of the regular season, the Pigs (71-68) play the finale of a two-game road series -- and Game Two of a four-game "home-and-home" series -- against the fifth-place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (66-73)... With a 5-4 loss in 12 innings last night, the Pigs "tragic number" for the Wild Card drops to 2.0 to Rochester (which holds the tie-breaker) and 3.0 to Nofolk (which doesn't hold the tie-breaker but has an additional game remaining). Despite the loss, the Pigs have still won 11 of their last 18 contests and remain 18-14 in their last 32 affairs... The RailRiders -- the Yankees' top affiliate -- have won back-to-back contests following a three-game skid. Still, since capping off a five-game winning streak to get back to .500 (54-54) on July 28, the Riders have gone just 12-19 in their last 31 bouts.

LHP Adam Morgan (2-6, 3.60) will start for LHV against RHP Chris Bootcheck (9-7, 3.71).

First-Pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m... The two teams will then return to Coca-Cola Park for a two-game set beginning on Friday.
