The IronPigs (58-49) play Game One of a five-game series against the last-place Syracuse Chiefs (50-56) at Alliance Bank Stadium... With a doubleheader sweep over the Tides last night (3-0, 5-4*), the Pigs took the four-game series from Norfolk, 3-1, and finished 3-5 on the eight-game homestand. Still, the Pigs have dropped seven of their last 11 contests and have gone just 8-14 in their last 22 games --- going from a season-high 3.0-games up to 2.0-games back in the North... The Chiefs -- Washington's top affiliate -- won 2-1 last night at Rochester to take the four-game series, 3-1. The Chiefs are 6-4 in their last 10 affairs after losing nine straight games July 5-17. In fact, since climbing to 43-38 on June 28, Syracuse is just 7-18 since.

RHP Tyson Brummett (3-2, 4.06) will start for LHV against RHP Jeff Mandel (1-3, 2.75).

First-pitch is 7 p.m.
