Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (14-11) play Game Two of a four-game series against the Charlotte Knights (13-13) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 4-1 win last night, the Pigs snapped a three-game losing streak in winning their first game outside the North Division. Still, the Pigs have managed just a 4-9 record after starting 10-2 -- the best start for a Phillies Triple-A affiliate since prior to the Scranton/WB Red Barons days (1989-06)... The Knights -- the White Sox top affiliate -- have lost back-to-back games and have fallen to 3-5 on this 13-game road trip. Still, the Knights have posted a 9-6 record since starting 4-7.
RHP Dave Bush (2-2, 3.05) will start for LHV against LHP Eric Stults (1-1, 2.08).
Today is Education Day #2, presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network. First-Pitch is scheduled for 10:35 a.m.
WITH THE WIN LAST NIGHT, THE PIGS...:
* Snapped their (tied for) season-long, three-game losing streak (also 4/20-4/23)... they haven't lost 4 straight since 8/29/11-8/31/11.
* Pulled back into a tie for 2nd place in the North Division and to within 1.5 games of division-leading Pawtucket (16-10).
