Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (58-85) play their 2010 season-finale -- Game Two of a mini two-game series against the North Division Champion Scranton/WB Yankees (86-56) -- New York's top affiliate. With a 2-1 walk-off win last night, the Pigs have won two in a row and six of their last nine games. Still, the Pigs are just 14-27 (.341) over their last 41 affairs... Scranton/WB snapped its four-game winning streak. Still, the Yankees have won 14 of their last19 contests and -- since a season-high, four-game losing streak 7/21-7/24 -- the Yanks have gone 29-12 (.707) in their last 41 games. SWB won its 4th straight N.D. title -- one in each season since being affiliated with NYY.
RHP Drew Carpenter (8-11, 4.10) will start for LHV against RHP Hector Noesi (1-1, 6.00).
First-Pitch is at 1:35 p.m. at Coca-Cola Park.
Day Trippers?: LHV has gone 13-14 (.481) in day games this season; just 45-71 (.388) in night games.
