Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (45-71) play the finale of a two-game series against the second-place Buffalo Bisons (61-54) -- the Mets' top affiliate. With an 8-1 loss last night, the Pigs have started 0-5 on this eight-game homestand and have lost their last 10 games at Coca-Cola Park. They've now lost 13 of their last 14 affairs after winning six of seven, July 19-25... Buffalo has won five straight contests and have now reeled off victories in nine of their last 10 games to reclaim second place in the North. Prior, they had lost eight of nine... Next up for the Pigs is a two-game home series against Pawtucket.
RHP Drew Carpenter (7-8, 3.79) will start for LHV against LHP Pat Misch (10-4, 3.44).
First-pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m. for Commemorative Cup Giveaway, presented Coca-Cola.
