Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The sixth-place IronPigs (23-38) play Game One of a four-game series against the third-place Buffalo Bisons (33-29) -- the Mets' top affiliate. With an 8-4 loss to Toledo last night, the 'Pigs have lost three straight games after their season-high, three-game winning streak -- dropping the series to the Hens, 3-1, and finishing 3-5 on the homestand. Although they've fallen in 11 of their last 16 contests, the 'Pigs are still 5-5 in their last 10 affairs... Buffalo lost at Durham last night, 8-3 -- getting swept in its four-game series in N.C. The Bisons have now lost a season-high, five straight games and have gone just 4-10 in their last 14 contests since starting 29-19 (thru 5/28)...
