
IronPigs Crowned 2023 MiLB Attendance Champions

Allentown, Pennsylvania - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs have officially finished the 2023 Minor League Baseball season as 2023 attendance champions, leading the entirety of the minors in total attendance (567,322 fans) and in average attendance (7,990). This is the first time since 2012 that the IronPigs have led MiLB in both categories.
For the 2023 season, the IronPigs had 71 openings during their 15th anniversary season and totaled 31 sellouts and 15 capacity sellouts (10,100 in attendance). The IronPigs return to the top spot in MiLB for attendance for the 3rd time overall, having led the minors in both average and total attendance in 2011 and 2012, while leading in average attendance in 2010.
Since the team's inception in 2008, the IronPigs have never finished lower than eighth in Minor League Baseball in total or average attendance and have ranked within the top-5 in both categories 12 out of 15 seasons. Prior to 2021 there were 162 total Minor League Baseball teams. Currently, there are 120 Minor League teams.
The IronPigs have been the Lehigh Valley's "Hometown Team" since 2008 and take pride on being the most affordable family fun entertainment experience in the region. The IronPigs begin their defense of their attendance title when they kick off the 2024 season on Friday, March 29th, hosting the Worcester WooSox at Coca-Cola Park.
