
IronPigs Add Affiliate

Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Allentown, Pa.) -- The Lehigh Valley IronPigs reached an agreement with WYBF 89.1 FM, located on the campus of Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa., to carry at least 40 games during the club's inaugural season. The live broadcasts will include extensive pre-game and post-game shows. Additional terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
WYBF-FM is a 700-watt station located in the heart of the Philadelphia Main Line Suburb of Radnor. The student station went on the air in 1991 when the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) granted an educational license to Cabrini College.
WYBF-FM joins the IronPigs flagship station, WXLV 90.3 FM, and the "Digital Home of the IronPigs, WZZO 95.1 HD-2, as the third station along the IronPigs Radio Network. A full listing of games carried by WYBF-FM will be made available in the near future at www.ironpigsbaseball.com.
Students do extraordinary things at Cabrini College, a residential Catholic college observing its 50th Anniversary Celebration this academic year. Cabrini serves 3,100 men and women in undergraduate and graduate liberal arts and sciences and professional studies programs. Cabrini's serene 112-acre campus is just 30 minutes from Philadelphia. Nationally, the College was among the first in higher education to implement community service into its core curriculum. The College's provides an "education of the heart," integrating intellectual competency with moral and social responsibility. The team announced it will continue to seek additional affiliates for the IronPigs Radio Network.
The IronPigs will take to the field for the first time in their season-opening contest April 3rd at PNC Field against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. The IronPigs return for Opening Day at Coca-Cola Park on April 11th at 7:05 p.m. against the reigning International League champions, the Richmond Braves.
