Ironman Chris McKinney Returns to Wildcats

ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats have announced the signing of arenafootball2 veteran WR/DB Chris McKinney and former Colorado Buffaloes' standout Ron Monteilh.
McKinney, (6-2, 205), returns to the Wildcats for his third season in the arenafootball2league. In 2005, McKinney saw action in 14 games and recorded 65 receptions for 708 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also returned 10 kickoffs for 126 yards and finished second in scoring with 106 points for the Wildcats. He led the team with 42 tackles (34 solo) and totaled four pass break-ups and one forced fumble.
As a rookie in 2004, he played in 16 games for the Wildcats and caught 46 passes for 519 yards, 14 touchdowns and returned two kickoffs for 53 yards and one score. On the defensive side of the ball, McKinney added 43.5 tackles, five pass break-ups, one interception returned for a 43-yard touchdown, three fumble recoveries and one safety.
McKinney played his collegiate football at Guilford College (Greensboro, North Carolina). In four seasons with the Quakers, he totaled 163 receptions for 2,156 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also had 100 punt returns for 1,164 yards and five touchdowns. He was Guilford's first four-time all-league football selection since Junior Lord (WR/LB Las Vegas Gladiators-Arena Football League).
Monteilh, (6-0, 190), played three seasons at the University of Colorado. As a senior, Monteilh saw action in 11 games with the Buffaloes and totaled 28 receptions for 314 yards and one touchdown. He finished his collegiate career with 58 catches for 562 yards and one score.
The Arena Football League is entering its 20th season and the South Georgia Wildcats are entering their second season in Albany, GA.
